Childs arm getting bandaged by doctor

Urgent Care

Our Urgent Care is open 8am - 8pm every day, with no appointment needed. It is a walk-in service which means there may be wait times depending on how many people have come in before you, and if we have very sick or injured people in our practice.

We will see you if you have an acute illness or injury. We can provide treatment, ACC funded services, prescriptions and medical certificates.

Our Urgent Care team works hard to keep our queue moving and we're often juggling lots of different issues that may not be visible to the waiting area. Rest assured, you will be seen as quickly as possible and we thank you for your patience.

As part of our commitment to quality care, we also offer the following services to our registered patients from 8am-7.30pm, 7 days a week.

  • Walk in cervical screening (self test only)
  • Childhood immunisations for families unable to make a booked appointment (please note that wait times will apply so please make an appointment if you want to avoid this)
  • Walk-in nurse health checks, including free blood pressure checks where these have been ordered by your GP.

During busy times, wait times may be higher than usual. This is because anyone can walk-in and use our service and unless we are close to closing time, we don't turn patients way. It is a different system from booked appointments, which is more predictable, and doesn't have long wait times.

During your consultation, the doctor will assess your urgent need only and will only spend as much time with you as is necessary, to keep our queue moving. You may require a follow up visit with your GP. If you want a longer appointment, or to discuss complex or multiple issues, please book a GP appointment - we have both 15minute and 30minute appointments available.
