Standard 15min appointments: Suitable for 1-2 minor issues

Extended 30min appointments: Suitable for multiple issues, complex concerns, and extended mental health consultations

New Patients: Please book an extended consultation for your first visit so we can complete a thorough assessment and update your medical records

Urgent Care

8am-8pm 7 days per week 

Urgent Care is a walk-in service (no appointment needed) for people needing same day care - usually due to injuries or illness.

People are seen according to a triage system which prioritises medical emergencies. You will be seen by a doctor who will assess your urgent concerns. If you would like a routine doctor appointment, please book a GP consultation.

If we are unable to see all patients before 8pm due to high demand, we may refer you to a near-by health provider, to ensure you receive timely care. We remain open for emergencies until 8pm.

Cold & Flu Virtual Clinic

This is an online clinic with virtual/phone call options with our paramedic for medical certificates, advice and basic prescription items.

If you have red flag symptoms or require an assessment, this clinic will have no charge as long as you come into our walk-in Urgent Care on the same day.

Lab Tests

If your lab results are normal or within an expected range, you will not be notified. If your result is concerning the GP will contact you via txt or phone. 

Lab results can be viewed in your secure Vensa patient portal. If you haven't already signed up, do it today! It can take a few days to activate the authentication process, so if you need your patient portal in a hurry, please contact reception@bakerfield.co.nz
