Most women and those with a cervix are now eligible for the new HPV/Cervical Screening Test which can be taken as a quick self-swab either here at the clinic or at your home. If you have a history of abnormal smear results this may not be suitable for you, but our Smear Takers will let you know the best test. You can walk in any time to have this done - all cervical screen (HPV tests and Cervical Smears) are ALWAYS free for registered patients.

Due to a shortage of staff Bakerfield Medical & Urgent Care clinic will be closing at 6pm on these days: 15th, 22nd, and 28th of March at 6pm, AND at 3pm on the 24th March. We may refer patients to other healthcare providers to ensure that the clinic closes at these times.

If your lab result is normal you will not be notified, if you result is concerning the GP will contact you via txt or phone. Lab results can be viewed via you Vensa patient portal. Have you signed up for your patient portal? Please do this today!
GP appointments are suitable for discussing 1-2 issues. If they do not have time to assess all issues you have, you will be asked to book another appointment. Alternatively please book an extended consultation of 30minutes (a charge of $39 will apply)
